Next week will be my second time attending MDCE, and also for the second year, I will be spending the majority of my time in the Service & Marina track.
Service has quickly become a pivotal revenue center in today’s dealerships, and with that importance, I am happy to confidently say we assembled a track that will not let down. And one that I am certainly excited to be part of.
Last year, Neal Harrell was a particular favorite of mine, and his topic of how to best hire trade talents was certainly applicable at the time. This year, he will return and build on last year’s presentation by providing insight into making your service department a workplace the best technicians want to be a part of.
The great thing about presenters like Harrell is their ability to deliver strategies applicable to your dealership, so you can leave MDCE and implement those strategies on day one. This year’s lineup features a number of speakers who accomplish the same.
New to my MDCE experience, but maybe not yours, is Valerie Ziebron, who joins the lineup with two presentations. Ziebron has been a long-time favorite of the conference, and you may have even had her visit your dealership.
Her expertise in the service industry is extensive, and this year, in her first session, she is bringing three service experts with her for a panel focused on turning your service department into a profit machine. The session is one of the most anticipated for me because I know it will deliver great strategies that will be new to many in the room.
Anyway, I leave for Orlando in less than 24 hours, and come Tuesday and Wednesday I encourage you to stop by my track and say hi.
