MDCE early-bird registration about to expire

This Sunday there will be exactly six weeks left until the Marine Dealer Conference & Expo begins at the Orange County Convention Center and Rosen Plaza hotel in Orlando.

Not coincidentally, Monday is the last day attendees will receive the “early bird” registration rate of $399 ($349 if you’re an MRAA member). If you haven’t considered going to the conference, you should. The MDCE will feature 21 presentations (plus several bonus sessions before the event officially begins) focused on three educational tracks: Sales & Marketing, Service Department and Powering Profits.

Hundreds of people have already registered for the 2010 MDCE and exhibit space has almost sold out. As of yesterday afternoon, only a handful of 10×10 booths were still available and a few thousand square feet were left to display boats. More than 96 percent of the floor space in the 106,000 square foot exhibit hall has been sold.

The educational sessions at this year’s conference are once again designed to address the topics most pertinent to today’s marine dealers and provide strategies and solutions they can begin implementing immediately in order to boost efficiency and profitability.

The Sales & Marketing Track includes educational sessions on topics such as making more money by discounting less and charging more, low-cost marketing tactics, converting online efforts to sales profits and search engine marketing, among others.

The Service Department Track covers a spectrum of service-related issues including achieving operational excellence as a service manager, web strategies for service profits and a dealer panel discussion that focuses on what makes for a successful service advisor.

And new for this year’s MDCE is a third educational track called Powering Profits. Leading dealers and dealership consultants will take part in seminars that cover topics such as lessons from the recession, fact-driven dealer management and ideas for success in the current economy.
