So you may have noticed there’s a new face here at Boating Industry.
As I settle into week two on the job, I wanted to introduce myself as I take over as editor-in-chief.
I’m new to the world of Boating Industry, but not to boating, or b2b magazines for that matter. As a kid, I spent most of my summers on a boat on Northern Minnesota’s Lake Vermilion, and am looking forward to using this job as an excuse to spend more time up there than I have the last few years.
I’ve spent the last 12 years covering the residential construction industry, so I know a little about industries that have been walloped by the economy. I’m passionate about helping small businesses improve and can’t wait to sink my teeth into this industry. I can tell already from the few of you I’ve talked to that this is a great market to cover and I’m looking forward to getting to know more of you in the future weeks and months.
I welcome your feedback on the magazine and website, anything we can do to improve them or thoughts about the industry in general. You can call me at 763-383-4419 or drop me a line at jonathan.sweet@boatingindustry.com.

Welcome Aboard Jay. I’m looking forward to seeing what you can do with Boating Industry as this is one of my favorite publications and organizations.

Welcome Aboard Jay (I’m sure you’ll get that a lot!). I’m a fan of this website and utilize it often to ping the industry for news and information. TACO always seeks to keep its finger on the pulse of its customers and the marine/boating industry. We look forward to your unique contributions. Let me know if I can do anything to help!
Best,
