An inspiring story from the industry worth sharing, as employees at Regulator Marine took a break from building boats last week to package meals for the hungry.

The company shut down production for an hour to prepare the meals for Stop Hunger Now. The more than 70 employees at Regulator packaged an astounding 10,200 meals to be distributed around the world.

Sure, shutting down for an hour isn’t going to affect the bottom line much, but it shows just how much can be accomplished with a lot of employee effort and little cost.

“As a company our focus isn’t on just the bottom line,” said Regulator president Joan Maxwell. “It is on giving back to our community and supporting the work of the Lord – which includes feeding the hungry.”
