A taxi driver’s version of customer service done right

Over the past few weeks, I’ve spent a lot of time on YouTube and Vimeo watching videos of potential Marine Dealer Conference & Expo speakers.
One video that I’ll never forget was from a customer service expert named Shep Hyken who told the story of a cab ride that made a big impression on him.
I won’t try to retell the story – you can watch it yourself by following the link at the end of this blog. But I will give away the punch line, which is that Hyken still gets a Christmas card from the taxi driver and his wife each year. And that’s just one of the many unexpected and positive parts of his experience with this cabbie.
So, I suggest you watch the video. But I’d also like to hear from you: what unexpected and positive experiences do you provide your customers? And what speakers would you recommend on customer service or any other topic that you find particularly relevant to marine dealers these days?
