Dealer network, Nautique Cares help company stand out from the crowd

Nautique Boat Company and its predecessors have been building boats in Florida for nearly 90 years, but the company continues to innovate and advance the industry. Mike Yauch and Greg Meloon recently shared their thoughts about what sets Nautique apart, from its dealer network to products to the Nautique Cares initiative.

What makes your dealer network unique?

Our dealers are industry leaders, always focused on continuous improvement to strengthen their business. We have a high number of long time Nautique dealers, with a large percentage of our dealers 20 Group members and Top 100 dealers.

With a mindset of continuous improvement, our dealers have seen high CSI scores year after year, as well as high profitability. We continue to listen and try to partner up with our dealers to maintain a dealer network at the top of the industry.

Why is a strong dealer network important to Nautique?

We believe we are only as good as our dealers so we prioritize how we support our dealers with great products, innovations, and sales support. We work shoulder to shoulder with our dealers at events and boat shows, providing demo boats for tours and event trailers to support our dealers showcasing our award-winning products.

The number of Nautique dealers in the Top 100 have been increasing. Why is that important to you?

Our dealers are the best so it is a natural fit. Top 100 dealers are focused on continuous improvement which aligns with the culture here at Nautique. We are a strategic plan driven company so we look for dealers with that same strategic mindset.

What does the future hold for Nautique? What types of products can we expect to see coming?

The future of Nautique is our continued commitment to delivering industry changing innovations that set new benchmarks for the marine industry. Nautique has been awarded with back to back WSIA Manufacturer of the Year awards along with many product accolades from the industry and consumers, including the Super Air Nautique G23 being chosen as WakeWorld’s Rider Choice “Wakeboarding Boat of the Year” and also Wakeworld’s first ever “Wakesurfing Boat of the Year.” But Nautique is not a company that is willing to rest on our past successes. We will continue to push the limit with product development while backing those products with a company that cares about our consumers, dealers, and employees. We are just getting started.

What new products are you most excited about? What are the features that really get buyers excited today?

Nautique has a long history of innovation. Our products have changed waterskiing and wakeboarding through innovations like the ski pylon, speed control, wakeboard towers and integrated ballast systems. More recently, the Ski Nautique 200 has exceeded all expectations towing the world’s best waterski athletes to 17 New World Records in the past several years. The wakeboard world was awakened to new possibilities with the introduction of the Super Air Nautique G23. The G23 broke so many paradigms when it comes to wake boat expectations from the perfectly shaped wake to storage room for everything. We have continued to innovate by improving the wake surfing experience by introducing the Nautique Surf System and the Surf Pipe. All of the products are available from one of the only companies to win every JD Power award in our class. We continue to improve our customer service from this lofty level. There has never been a better time to own a Nautique.

What is the Nautique Cares initiative? Why is it important to the company?

Nautique Cares began as an initiative to capture the commitment that this company and its employees have practiced for many years to make a difference in our community. Nautique Cares encompasses our desire to impact the world beyond simply making the world’s best waterski and wakeboard boats. The Nautique team has integrated it into our culture. It’s more than what we say, it’s what we do! Over the last several years, employees at all levels of the company have participated in mission trips around the world along with impacting our local community in Central Florida. Employees have volunteered their vacation time to build homes and schools, deliver food to the hungry and medical needs to the unfortunate in Mexico, the Dominican Republic, Guatemala, El Salvador, India, Ethiopia, Uganda, Kenya, Arizona and Central Florida. These trips impact the Nautique team as much as the people we get to serve. Nautique Cares is an effort that is continuing to grow!
