WARREN, R.I. – The International Marina Institute recently announced the schedule for its annual fall conference to be held Oct. 23-25 in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. This year’s event is titled “Increasing Marine Profits in the New Economy: From Surviving to Thriving.”
Speakers at the fall conference will focus on how the new economy has changed the way marinas should look at improvements and social media, as well as market conditions for obtaining credit and loans. All of these ideas will be presented with real world examples of how the practices have been successful for marinas.
“It is important for IMI to spread the word about successful business practices and provide a place where industry members can be a part of meaningful conversations, share ideas and learn tools to improve their businesses,” Jim Frye, AMI’s president and chair, said in a release. “This conference will do just that.”
The conference will be held at the Sheraton Suites Cypress Creek in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Oct. 23-25. To register for the conference, visit www.marinaassociation.org/conferences/imi/fall- conference/2011.
