MIAMI – Sales of 15-foot or greater powerboats held steady at 5 percent year-over-year growth as of the month of November, according to the latest Bellwether report from Info-Link Technologies. Outboard sportfishing boat sales had little to no change in year-over-year sales for the first time since 2005. Year-over-year personal watercraft sales continued to drop in November, with sales in Bellwether states falling 7.5 percent compared to the same period of the prior year.

Sales of ski boats and sterndrive/jet boats fell at the same rates as year-over-year sales ending in October, with sales in both markets falling 8 percent as of November, compared to the same period of the previous year.

The Bellwether Report is based on new U.S. boat registrations in geographically dispersed states representing roughly half of the U.S. boat market.
