LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. – The International Marina and Boatyard Conference, held Feb. 2-3, began its educational program on Feb. 2 with a presentation by David Mulvey of the Disney Institute.
Mulvey discussed various aspects of running a successful business, including leadership, staff excellence, guest satisfaction, and quality service, which are all key to Disney’s approach to business excellence.
“Mulvey tied Disney’s successful business practices to our industry and pointed out the importance of employee training and the customer experience,” said Jim Frye, AMI’s president and chair. “He challenged attendees to ask ‘so what’ and ‘now what’ and use these principles throughout the rest of the conference and back at their facilities to gain new ideas that will improve their businesses.”
