Dominion Marine Media reports significant growth in Web traffic

NORFOLK, Va. – Three websites operated by Dominion Marine Media are reporting unique visitor traffic was up as much as 44 percent month-over-month in January, according to figures from comScore.
The data from comScore showed Dominion Marine Media’s YachtWorld.com, BoatTrader.com and Boats.com all reporting an increase in unique visitors in January 2012 compared to December 2011, the company said in a statement, with BoatTrader.com up 44 percent to 676,000 unique visitors, Boats.com up 40 percent and YachtWorld.com up 23 percent during that same period.
“As the boating industry faced challenges over the past few years, we modified our marketing strategy to grow brand awareness online in a more innovative and collaborative way,” Courtney Chalmers, director of marketing for Dominion Marine Media, said in a statement. “We are excited to see the positive results and will continue to deliver content that consumers want.”
The increase in Web visitors month-over-month even earned Dominion Enterprises a spot on comScore’s “Top 10 Gaining Properties” in the U.S. unique visitors growth alongside sites like Pinterest.com, Travelocity, Info.com and Indeed.
