Local youth organizations receive donated life jackets

Traverse City, MI (August 13, 2012) – Traverse City based Global Marine Insurance Agency recently distributed 130 life jackets to several area nonprofit organizations.  The life jackets were donated by the Boat US Foundation, a national nonprofit organization dedicated to boating safety, and Seaworthy Insurance Company.  Mike Smith, co-founder of Global Marine Insurance Agency, worked closely with the Boat US Foundation to obtain the life jackets.  Traverse Area Community Sailing (TACS), was among the first to receive the life jackets (Picture below). Additional nonprofit organizations set to receive the life jackets include Maritime Heritage Alliance and the Inland Seas Education Association.
