Bloomberg’s weekly Consumer Comfort Index shows Americans are becoming a little more optimistic about the economy.
The index rose to -40.8, it’s highest level in seven weeks. The Bloomberg index can range from 100 (every respondent has a positive response) to -100 (every respondent has a negative response, so it is still well below a positive turn.
At the same time, the percent of Americans saying the United States was headed in the wrong direction had its biggest drop in three years.
