Orlando, Fla., November 12, 2012 – The largest-ever Marine Dealer Conference & Expo, the premier education event for boat dealers, opened here Sunday.
MDCE runs through Wednesday at Orlando’s Orange County Convention Center and is co-produced by the Marine Retailers Association of the Americas and Boating Industry.
More than 900 people have registered for the conference, up 5 percent from last year, with more expected to register at the door. The more than 500 dealers registered for the conference represent the highest-ever dealer attendance for MDCE. With more than 183,000 square feet of exhibit space and more than 100 sponsors and exhibitors, this year’s expo hall is also the largest yet.
Beyond the expo hall, attendees also have an opportunity to attend more than 20 educational sessions from some of the biggest names in the marine industry. Educational funding support is provided by the National Marine Distributors Association.
“We’re very excited about this year’s conference,” said Jonathan Sweet, editor in chief of Boating Industry. “The dealers attending are going to get a chance to experience our best group of educational sessions yet, plus a packed exhibit hall filled with the great products and services from some of the leading manufacturers and suppliers.
