The Marine Mechanics Institute, sponsor of the Service and Marina track at this year’s Marine Dealer Conference & Expo, today officially launched a free service efficiency white paper for dealers.
The publication, which is available as a direct download from the company’s website, was produced by the editorial staff at Boating Industry magazine and features a number of experts who will be speaking at MDCE. The white paper focuses on how to improve service department efficiency through better hiring, mentoring, design and more.
“The service department has taken on increasing importance as a way to hedge against the volatility of new boat sales,” write Boating Industry editor-in-chief Jonathan Sweet in the white paper’s introduction. “After all, while boat owners might choose not to buy a new vessel, they’re going to take care of the one they have.”
To download the white paper go to uti.edu/employers and click the thumbnail on the bottom-right of the page.
MMI is a division of the Universal Technical Institute, a nationwide provider of technical education training for students seeking careers as professional automotive, diesel, collision repair, motorcycle and marine technicians.
