Dirk Bjornstad named Category Director for Mercury Propellers

FOND DU LAC, Wis. –Mercury Marine has promoted Dirk Bjornstad to the position of category director for the Mercury Propellers product line.

Bjornstad joined the Mercury propeller business in 2007 in marketing and product management roles of increasing responsibility.

“Dirk has established himself as a leader in the global propeller business,” said Martin Bass, vice president of global category management at Mercury Marine. “I’m confident that he will take Mercury’s product and market strength in the propeller category to new heights.

Prior to joining Mercury Marine, Bjornstad worked as new-product marketing consultant with AC Nielsen for 10 years. He has a bachelor’s degree in history from OberlinCollege.
