New CEO / COO Brings Extensive Management, Sales and Marketing Experience to Louisiana Marine Electronics Dealer
NEW ORLEANS, LA (December 4, 2012) – Sea-Trac Offshore Services has announced that Lyle St. Romain has joined the company as CEO / COO. The family-owned dealership specializes in sales and service of world-class marine electronics to commercial marine, recreational, government, and military customers. “We are extremely pleased to welcome Lyle onboard during a time of growth and opportunity,” stated Bert St. Romain, owner of Sea-Trac. With over twenty-five years experience working for marine electronics manufacturers on a national level, Lyle will play a key role in the company’s strategy to be the number one choice for sales and 24/7 service of marine electronics to customers in the New Orleans River Parishes and Coastal Louisiana. “Having begun his professional career in 1984 at Sea-Trac, and being one of two sons active in the business today, Lyle’s appointment is a great decision for our business on both a professional and personal level,” Bert added. Lyle joins his brother, Chris St. Romain, president of Sea-Trac.
A veteran of the marine electronics industry, Lyle St. Romain was most recently in the capacity of General Manager for Charles Marine & Industrial, a provider of high-quality, innovative AC & DC electrical products. During his ten years with the company which began in 2002, he managed all aspects of the company’s Marine & Industrial business unit. Prior to his employment with Charles, Lyle worked at Raymarine Inc. (formerly Raytheon Marine Company) for fourteen years where he served in various sales and management capacities; his last position with the company as vice president of global sales.

St. Romain holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Louisiana State University and is a graduate of Jesuit High School in New Orleans. He is a USCG Licensed Captain and spent six years in the U.S. Naval Reserve.
