American Boating Congress releases updated agenda, speaker lineup

NMMA and the American Boating Congress have announced more information on the schedule of events for the annual Washington meeting.
The speaker lineup is also firming up with several speakers now confirmed, including Sen. Joe Manchin, D-W.V.; Deerin Babb-Brott, director of the National Ocean Council Office; Rear Admiral Dean Lee of the U.S. Coast Guard and Ken Walsh, White House correspondent for U.S. News & World Report. Invitations have been extended to several other members of Congress and the Obama administration.
The conference will kick off May 8 with the Trailer Roundup Program from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. and a welcome lunch at 11:45 a.m. Several associations including NMMA, MRAA and AMI are holding board meetings that day as well.
Day 2, May 9, will feature a morning of conference speakers and presentations on key governmental issues facing the industry, followed by afternoon visits to Capitol Hill to meet with members of the House and Senate and congressional staff.
This year’s ABC has a record 31 co-hosts, including Boating Industry.
