Larry Halgren to host fall training event
Warren, RI—Larry Halgren will host IMI’s 10th Drystack Conference, October 27–28, 2013, at the B Ocean Hotel in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Produced by the International Marina Institute (IMI), a subsidiary of the Association of Marina Industries (AMI), the Drystack Conference is a professional-development opportunity for those interested in the latest in drystack technology as part of their daily business responsibilities.
“I’m honored to partner with IMI on this event,” Larry Halgren, Halgren & Associates, LLC, says. “Facilitating the conference gives me the opportunity to assist IMI in its goal of providing training to the marina industry.”
With more than 35 years of experience in the marine industry, Halgren has notable expertise in marina and waterfront development, operations, infrastructures, and marina components. His portfolio incorporates market research for sites, marina plans and site selection, and marina financing and feasibility studies. Halgren worked for Bellingham Marine Industries, the Washington State Ferry System, and Uniflite before starting his consulting business. He has been a member of IMI’s faculty for the Advanced Marina Management course for more than 8 years.

The International Marina Institute (IMI) has been training and certifying marina personnel for over 20 years and offers courses in Intermediate Marina Management and Advanced Marina Management, as well as providing qualified members with the coveted Certified Marina Manager designation.
