May, 2013, Livonia, Mich. – Marinas around the state are offering free boating demonstrations to the public on National “Welcome to the Water” Marina Day, Saturday, June 8. In partnership with the MDNR and Association of Marine Industries, the Michigan Boating Industries Association (MBIA) encourages all interested in boating to visit these access sites to enjoy a boat ride and find out more about boating.

“We’re giving people an opportunity to actually get on a boat and go for a ride,” said MBIA Executive Director Nicki Polan. “We want non-boaters to experience the boating lifestyle. There are boats available to fit any budget; it’s an affordable way to spend quality time with your family and is entertaining and fun for all ages.” Free boating demos will be offered at:
