The NMBA is pleased to announce Pace Bradshaw, Vice President of Congressional Affairs of the Consumer Bankers Association, will be speaking at this year’s Annual Marine Lending Industry Conference. Bradshaw is responsible for CBA’s advocacy efforts on Capitol Hill and working with members of Congress on issues important to the retail banking industry. His expertise includes consumer issues under the Consumer Finance Protection Bureau’s jurisdiction such as mortgage rules, student lending, auto financing, and other Dodd-Frank related issues which impact retail banks. Prior to joining CBA, Bradshaw was a member of the Government Affairs department at the Mortgage Bankers Association where his most recent position was Director of Legislative Affairs. Hired in 2006, Bradshaw led their advocacy efforts on a number of real estate finance issues and financial regulatory reform, including leading industry efforts during Dodd-Frank on securing a Qualified Mortgage Exemption. He previously worked for Senator John Sununu (NH) from 2003-2006 where he focused on Banking and Commerce Committee issues.
This year’s conference agenda will also highlight the latest economic trends impacting the marine industry, updates on legislative issues that continue to shape the lending environment, and a presentation on reducing risk without reducing reward. You will network with marine lenders and representatives from various supporting businesses and enjoy a specialized group event designed to maximize your skills in the workplace. The NMBA annual golf tournament will be held Tuesday, with the golf awards ceremony immediately following.
