Vonore, TN – MasterCraft Boat Company announces today it is unveiling its all-new 24 footer, the 2014 MasterCraft X46. Although it still dominates the segment it created nearly 10 years ago with the X45, MasterCraft felt it was time once again to find out if history would repeat itself by launching what is destined to become the most popular 24 foot wake machine of all time.

The all-newly designed twin-tip X46, which replaces the highly successful MasterCraft X45, comes in at 8’6” wide and 24’6” long (without the platform). Although it is only 1” longer than its predecessor, the new design makes the 2014 X46 the proud owner of more real estate for family, friends and stuff than any other 24-footer on the market, thanks in large part to the bigger than life bow and vast wraparound seating.

Beginning with a newly designed interior that is both breathtaking and pragmatic, the 2014 X46 offers posh, intelligent design throughout. In the bow, which is the same size as its bigger brother the X55, passengers can comfortably sit forward or aft depending on what action they prefer to watch. And unlike any other boat, the two front seats, which come standard with the highly popular arm rests, swing up easily and stylishly making access to the voluminous front storage incredibly fast and easy.

As admirers and gawkers move from the bow to the stern, they will encounter an extremely unique and commanding helm. Unique because it comes with two oversized seating options unavailable on any competitive boat. Commanding because all things X46 can be controlled easily at the helm thanks to a standard 4.3” Murphy screen or an optional 7” Murphy Touch Screen. From these visually stunning screens, the 2014 X46 is prepped and ready to obey any command thrown at it, from filling ballast to saving rider surf and wake presets to DJing the party to navigating unfamiliar waters to simply gauging speed, rpm’s, engine temp and so on. In addition, the X46 comes standard with an oversized captain’s chair providing unparalleled comfort and space to the driver. However, the X46 has an optional seat that has room enough for two people. And the cool part? It is a flip seat meaning while the boat is underway the backrest supports the driver and their partner of choice. But if the boat is anchored and floating, merely flip the seat towards the steering wheel and it becomes a backrest for the person lounging in the wraparound seating / lounge area.

The rear lounge area flaunts a sundry of discerning yet wonderfully creative features. At the top of the list is the smartly designed convertible rear seat. Since the dawning of boats, the people who sit in the back have had to choose between being comfortable or twisting around to see what is going behind the boat. The 2014 X46 has eliminated that choice. In one position, it looks like any other wraparound seating configuration. However, with one simple move anyone can flip this rear perch to create a seat that can comfortably watch all the action at the end of the rope.

But there is more. The MasterCraft X46, designed to be a surf machine, has recessed seating at the back allowing people in the boat to get closer to the wakesurf action in a safe way. Thanks to this distinct seating, complete with plush upholstery and cup holders, people will not feel the need to climb up on the sunpad to socialize with their surf buddies. And even if there is no action behind the boat, the recessed seating design allows there to be more room, as spaced unrealized by other boat companies becomes room for two people to lounge comfortably.

As for the transom, the 2014 MasterCraft X46 has still not exhausted all its new offerings. For starters, there is a new transom walk-through design and transom step. The transom step serves as both a path into and out of the boat but is also large enough to serve as a seat for those ready to boot up or catch that next wave. For those who want to hang out at the transom while the boat is anchored, the X46 borrows a unique, hugely popular feature from the X25 – the all-new X46 comes standard with transom flip-up seating.

Of course, the pressing question from any MasterCraft X Series aficionado will be “what about the wake?” The X46 was certainly designed with the wake in mind – first and foremost it was engineered to be one of the best wakesurf boats on the market and is hands down the best 24-foot wakesurfing boat. In addition, the X46 comes eerily close to the famed XStar wake with large, meaty yet lippy wakes. Add weight and speed to get a really lippy wake for intermediate to expert riders. Reduce weight and speed to make any beginner feel comfortable.
