2014 Yacht & Brokerage Show adds superyacht venue

MIAMI BEACH (December 9, 2013) – An additional location will showcase the largest superyachts during the upcoming Yacht & Brokerage Show in Miami Beach, which takes place from February 13-17, 2014. Show Management, the company that co-owns and produces the show, and the Florida Yacht Brokers Association (FYBA), which co-owns and sponsors the show, have announced the addition of Superyacht Miami for yachts over 47 meters in length, to be located at the Miami Beach Marina.

As the show continues to grow, exhibitors have asked for additional space to accommodate superyachts too large for the waters and bridges off Collins Avenue. While there will be more that 60 yachts over 100′ at the Yacht & Brokerage Show on Collins Avenue, the new show location was added to accommodate yachts too large for the Indian Creek Waterway.

The Miami Beach Marina accommodates superyachts up to 250 feet and is located at 300 Alton Road, adjacent to Government Cut, with no fixed bridges and plenty of deep water. Luxury transportation will be provided between the marina and the Yacht & Brokerage Show on Collins Avenue.

“We are delighted with the positive response and early commitment from prominent brokers who specialize in the superyacht sector,” said Show Management CEO Efrem (Skip) Zimbalist III. “The launch of Superyacht Miami is the first step in accommodating yachts larger than ever before seen at this show.”

Among the luxury superyacht brokerage firms expected at Superyacht Miami are Worth Avenue Yachts, Camper & Nicholsons, HMY, Northrop & Johnson, Merle Wood & Associates, and Burgess Yachts.

“The Florida Yacht Brokers Association and Show Management have been working together to find an additional and unique locale to the Collins Avenue show to showcase superyachts,” said FYBA Executive Director Ann Vernon. “The Miami Beach Marina, with its proximity to world-famous South Beach, is a perfect location for a superyacht venue attracting wealthy and affluent clientele from around the world.”

The Yacht & Brokerage Show takes place along a mile-long strip of the Indian Creek Waterway and Collins Avenue from 41st Street through 54th Street, presenting yachts and superyachts from the world’s most extraordinary custom boat builders.
