World Cat awards top dealers, introduces new 23SD
St. PETERSBURG, Fla. — World Cat, Glacier Bay and Carolina Cat Dealers from across the US gathered in St. Petersburg, Florida August 23-25th to celebrate World Cat’s best year in its history of ownership of the three brands. The Dealer Advisory Council meeting was held at the Vinoy Renaissance Hotel on Tampa Bay and allowed both meetings, awards banquet and demonstration rides on the new Carolina Cat 23SD sport boat catamaran and on the new 295CC World Cat catamaran center console.
At the planning meeting held August 24th, World Cat President, Andrew Brown outlined the results of the record-breaking 2014 model year and outlined plans for the company’s brands and organizational structure which include the recent addition of Wyatt Lane as Distribution Manager.
“Wyatt brings over a decade of successful distribution management to our marketing team,” Brown said, “and we welcome his skilled management and relationship-building as we grow our three brands,” he added.
Lane shared his vision for dealer-to-dealer and dealer-to-builder relationships at the meeting and was followed by Engineering VP, Greg McLogan, who shared new products soon to be introduced.
The highlight of the meeting was the evening presentation of the sales and service awards combined with the new Five Star dealer service awards program introduced by Customer Care representative Anna Bosler that afternoon.
Five Star Service award-winning dealers were: Butler Marine of Beaufort and Charleston, SC; Hudson’s Outboard of Salisbury, MA; Power Catamarans of South Florida of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; Sara Bay Marina of Sarasota, FL; Unique Marine of Tavernier, FL; and Windward Boats of Kailua, HI.
Top sales of Million Dollar Roundtable winners went to: Central Marine Service of St. Petersburg, FL; Butler Marine of Beaufort and Charleston, SC; Sara Bay Marina of Sarasota, FL; and The Boat Place of Naples and Ft. Myers, FL.
The Top salesman of the year award went to Travis Giordan of Power Catamarans of South Florida as the #1 Sales Person of World Cat, Glacier Bay and Carolina cat products.
Partner of the Year award, for special service to the entire distribution system, went to The Boat Place of Naples and Ft. Myers, FL. The Presidential Pace Setter Award, for the largest sales increase of any dealership, went to Unique Marine of Tavernier, FL. The top sales award and the Dealer of the Year went to Power Catamarans of South Florida of Ft. Lauderdale, FL.
World Cat builds World Cat, Glacier Bay and Livingston catamarans in their 140,000 square foot facility in Tarboro, NC. With over 80,000 catamarans built, the company is the world’s largest builder of power catamarans.
