Suzuki recently announced several organizational changes the company says will “improve efficiencies, focus attention on key activities and enhance clarity for its customers.”

George “Gus” Blakely, a 25-year Suzuki veteran, has been promoted to Marine Sales General Manager, with responsibility for dealer and OEM sales, as well as Product Application and Development. In this role, Blakely will direct all Marine Division sales efforts, and will work closely with Suzuki Motor Corporation in Japan on new product development. Reporting to Blakely will be Jonathan Woolson, who has been promoted to National Sales Manager, Dealer Sales, and Max Kelley, Sales Manager for Boat Builder Operations. David Greenwood, Manager for Product Application and Technical Development will also report to Blakely.

Suzuki also announced that Christopher White has been named Marine Division Sales Operations Manager. In his new role, White will have direct responsibility for marketing, advertising and sales administration. He will also oversee the division’s GSA activities. Dean Corbisier, Suzuki’s veteran advertising and public relations supervisor, will now report to White. Both Blakely and White will report to Takuya Sato, Marine Division Vice President.

“We now have the right people in the right places so we can grow and increase our share of market,” said Takuya Sato. “I am proud to lead this team as we chart a course for continued success, working with our valued dealers and boat builder partners.”
