Cequent employees help Habitat for Humanity

PLYMOUTH, Mich. – Cequent™ Performance Products employees stepped away from their phones and computers for the day to help renovate a home in Oakland County, Mich. The group was in the city of Pontiac on September 30th, working with Habitat for Humanity to transform the shell of a house into a home for a local woman and her family.

Several of the volunteers spent their day laying down a new roof, while the others grabbed hammers and crowbars to demo the basement and a shed in the back yard.

“It was great to see the teamwork demonstrated by everyone there,” said Senior Human Resources Manager Sara Piatt. “We thank all of the employees on hand that day for their hard work and willingness to help a family in need!”

The home remodel was sponsored by TriMas Corporation, the parent company of Cequent Performance Products. This was the third time Cequent has taken part in a Habitat build.
