Regulator Marine invests in dealer success via MDCE

EDENTON, N.C. — Regulator Marine, manufacturers of the finest in offshore sportfishing boats, recently hosted the company’s annual “Regulator Marine University” (RMU) at their Edenton headquarters, then continued on to the Marine Dealer Conference & Expo (MDCE), hosting a team of dealer sales representatives for four days of educational sessions on sales, management, marketing and more with the marine industry’s leading experts.

“Regulator Marine University is the perfect opportunity for us to instill in our dealers a sense of pride in the products they are selling and the people they are working with,” said Regulator Marine President, Joan Maxwell. “And we are so pleased to have so many of our dealers with us at MDCE, a conference that truly sharpens our focus with its concentration on leadership, sales, service and marketing. It’s so stimulating to be in a room with other people who have similar businesses but a different perspective – it gives us all an opportunity to learn something new and ultimately run a better business.”

Created in 2000, RMU equips dealer principals and sales people with valuable tools and product knowledge, providing each participant with an interactive look at Regulator’s legendary design, unique construction process and the features and benefits associated with the 2015 models. This year’s RMU started with a demo ride aboard the 2015 Regulator 34, equipped with new triple Yamaha 300 engines, and continued with sessions on the latest options, customer service, and Regulator’s legendary fit, finish and ride. Regulator leaders and dealers also took time to celebrate the many successes of the past year, awarding Oyster Harbors (Osterville, MA) with the “Dealer of the Year” Award and Ben Crago (Oyster Harbors/Osterville, MA), Shane Logsdon (Palmetto Boat Sales/Charleston, SC) and Jim Penix (Sovereign Marine/Stuart, FL) with the Regional Salesman of the Year Awards.
