Nautic Global Group showcases Rinker and Hurricane at Miami Boat Show

ELKHART, Ind. – Nautic Global Group is unveiling two new boats at this year’s Miami International Boat Show.
The new Rinker® 170 OB is the first in a new series of outboard offerings built for the entry-level family boater who wants the comfort and watersports performance of a Rinker bowrider. This boat offers style, performance, and convenience at an affordable price point that emphasizes value. A completely new running surface allows the Rinker 170 OB to perform efficiently and effectively with either a 70 or 90 horsepower package. It is available in either a full windshield version or a dual console windscreen configuration. And, at a weight of 1750 pounds, the Rinker 170 OB can be safely trailered with ease by the novice boater behind just about any vehicle.

The Hurricane SunDeck 2486 OB features head-turning design and game-changing construction, and is the latest addition to the legendary Hurricane Brand. A convergence of pontoon boat and bowrider, the new SunDeck features never-before-seen innovations, particularly patent-pending wrap-around convertible seating in both the bow and the stern. The design expands the usability of seating pits with room for 14 people. A new ergonomic helm design is standard and offers the ability to fit a 7″ GPS device. Center walk-throughs in both the bow and stern allow for easy passage and convenience. And storage is maximized with fiberglass-lined storage boxes.

Other boats recently launched are the Hurricane SunDeck Sport 203 Crossfire and Godfrey Pontoon® Aqua Patio® 250 Express. The 250 express was featured in 2014 Fall issue of Deck and Pontoon Magazine and also awarded the Readers Choice Award. Hurricane is the overall market share leader in the deck boat segment and has been so since it’s origination in the early 1970’s.

The boats were manufactured as part of the company’s new operational excellence initiative, which focuses on deeper market intelligence, leaner manufacturing and enhanced quality.

“We’re excited and proud to see everything coming together,” said Brad Gates, CEO of Nautic Global Group Global Group. “Last year, we posted double-digits sales increases in deck boats and pontoons. And we’ve realized 20 percent revenue growth over the past four years.” Gates adds that, because of the company’s performance, its ownership group made a significant investment that will allow the company to consistently deliver best-in-class, in-demand boats across its portfolio.

The boats mentioned above are the first of many in the development pipeline of new products across all Nautic Global Group brands. Nautic Global Group plans to introduce a minimum of 13 new boat models in the next year: More Rinker products, six new pontoons, three new Hurricanes and four new Polar Krafts®.
