Carefree Boat Club Opens At Lake Hartwell, Ga.

Lavonia, Ga. – A new Carefree Boat Club has opened on Lake Hartwell on I-85 halfway between Atlanta and Spartanburg at Harbor Light Marina in Lavonia.

Similar to the other two Atlanta area Carefree Boat Clubs, the Lake Hartwell fleet will include boats from Formula, Sylvan triple tube pontoons with 250HP, and Supreme and Centurion wake sports boats.

“Members love the exceptionally smooth rides of our Formula bowriders and the higher speeds, better handling and stability of our triple tube, high horsepower Sylvan pontoon,” said David Rothwell, owner of the club. Rothwell also owns the Carefree Boat Clubs on Lake Lanier and Lake Allatoona.

Rothwell opened the Lake Lanier club in the spring of 2014 and the Lake Allatoona club in March of this year. “Lake Hartwell’s 962 miles of scenic shoreline provides our members spectacular boating opportunities and also serves the South Carolina population,” added Rothwell.
