Centurion congratulates seven-time world champion Bri Chmel on retirement

Wake Surfer Bri Chmel, , a seven-time world champion for Team Centurion Boats, announced her retirement last week. Centurion Boats released the following statement on her retirement:

As a trailblazer of the sport, a pillar of the Centurion Boats pro team and a great example of character and grace in competition, Bri will be missed at tournaments. She has cemented her legacy as a permnent part of the wake surfing landscape. Bri is retiring from professional wake surfing to pursue her career in medical sales. She will continue to wake surf and share her passion for the sport with others through clinics. Centurion Boats wishes her nothing, but continued success in all of her future endeavors.

Rick Lee, the founder of Centurion Boats, posted this personal message in response to Bri’s retirement. “I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate Bri Chmel on her announced retirement from competition and her amazing accomplishments in the sport of Wake Surfing, both on and off he water. Bri has not only reigned as a seven time World Champion, she has grown to be a true professional and has inspired many to work hard and try to follow in her footsteps. Bri’s commitment to her sport as well as her commitment to the Centurion Brand runs through their veins. She has been a true leader for our team. Well done Bri!”
