Dowco launches first towable pontoon cover Rail-Lok

MANITOWOC, Wis. – Dowco announced the Rail-Lok system, the first towable pontoon cover available in the market. This custom-fit pontoon cover system features unique fasteners that lock into the receiver slot under the middle rail extrusion on the pontoon’s fence.

The patent-pending fasteners are engineered for simple use. Spaced strategically around the edges of the cover, the system delivers a tight and secure lock-in cover eliminating hard-to-use snaps. Taking into consideration the variation in design of pontoon rails, Dowco has designed two versions of Rail-Lok, PX and HC.

The company said integrating Rail-Lok into the cover replaces the necessity of straps and allows this cover to be used while trailering. The addition of this unique system into pontoon covers is an industry first and results in direct time savings for manufacturers, dealers and users.

“Taking a step back and listening to boat owners, dealers and our partners in the marine industry is at the core of Dowco’s design process. Rail-Lok is Dowco’s solution to hearing the pain points from these users,” stated Dowco Marine Division Leader Jon Alexander.
