1. MarineMax planning new headquarters

The nation’s largest boat dealer is planning an expanded operation at a new headquarters.  MarineMax will be staying in Clearwater, Fla., but adding 30 new employees at a larger facility in the city.

2. Chinese boat market grew 25.7 percent

The total value of the import/export market for yachts and leisure boats in China is now $476 million, according to a new report.  Exports accounted for $258 million while imports were $218 million.

3. Nebraska waters fatality-free in 2013

For the first time on record, there were no boating-related deaths in Nebraska last year.  The state began tracking boating deaths in 1965.
