1. Success with online reviews

More than 80 percent of consumers say they read online reviews before deciding to business with a company. So how are you taking advantage of that trend? The Small Business Administration and online review site Yelp are partnering for a series of webinars, “Success with Online Reviews.”  They are part of larger initiative between the two organizations designed to help small businesses leverage the power of online reviews and manage their reputations.

2. Navico purchases Contour Innovations

Marine electronics giant Navico has purchased Minneapolis-based Contour Innovations, a lake mapping software provider.

Contour’s employees and headquarters will remain in Minneapolis, according to the company.
