1. Top 100 dealer Marine Connection named to Inc. 5000

Marine Connection, a West Palm Beach, Florida, boat dealer has been named to Inc. magazine’s list of the fastest growing privately owned companies in America.

Marine Connection, which ranked at No. 18 on the 2013 Boating Industry Top 100 list, came in at No. 2,514 on the Inc. list.

Other marine industry companies that made the list include iMarine USA at No. 2,116 and Dr. Shrink at No. 4742.

2. NMMA: Wholesale boat shipments up in June

Wholesale powerboat shipments tracked by NMMA, which represent 71 percent of the market, were up in June and year-to-date.  Units were up 0.4 percent, while dollars were up 8.6 percent.
