Social Media Video Tip: Monitoring your reputation

We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again: social media is not a one way street, a place where you churn out content that markets your product and walk away. The very thought of “posting and dashing” makes us cringe!

Social media, friends, is a two way street. What do we mean by this? When on social media, you talk, but you also listen. You post, people comment back, you respond to what they say and, in the end, it shapes the content you post. Sure, a two way street is a bit more dangerous than the one way (you have to watch for people leaving their lane!), but in the end, it’s a lot more rewarding for your business.

Because of this, it is important to stay on top of what people are saying about you online. If an unhappy customer calls a friend to share their bad experience, they have only reached one other person with their opinions. But if an unhappy customer took to Facebook or Twitter, they could reach hundreds of people with their negative opinions of your business.
