Social Media Video Tip: Using Facebook ads to grow your Facebook page
We’re taking a little bit of a different approach with this week’s Social Media Video Tip. We’ve heard from many of you that you’re hands-on learners. So instead of telling you about social media, we’re going to show you.

One important note: Facebook changes, and changes all the time! But for those using social media to grow their business, it has become part of the job description. Since this screencast was created (just a few days ago), Facebook has updated your targeting options when promoting your content directly from your Facebook business page. Now when selecting “People you choose to target,” you have an extra targeting option: Interests.
Similar to Interests in Facebook’s Ad Manager, Interests allows you to narrow your targeting down to people who like certain things, such as “Boating,” “Wakeboarding” or “Boston Whaler.” However, one important note is that the Interests option from your Facebook business page does not include the complete list of Interests available compared to using Facebook’s Ads Manager. This may change in the future, as with everything with Facebook.
