FLIPPIN, Ark. – By winning first place in both fishing-boat categories, Ranger Boats walked away with a pair of trophies last week in the Game & Fish/Sportsman magazines’ Readers’ Choice Awards.
The prizes, presented at Last week’s ICAST show in Orlando, provided a clean sweep for Ranger in the small- and large-bass boat categories.
“Ranger really dominated the category,” said Game & Fish/Sportsman publisher Peter Gross. “They won both the small and large bass boat categories, which is an amazing feat and shows strong brand loyalty among our hardcore bass anglers. Many readers told us they appreciated Ranger’s consistent quality and reliability.”
Earlier this year, Game & Fish/Sportsman asked manufacturers to submit new-gear nominees in 26 categories, from rods and reels to raingear and sunglasses. To be considered “new,” gear must be introduced in the last three years. The magazine then queried a sampling of subscribers and e-newsletter recipients to determine their favorite picks. More than 2,000 anglers responded and voted for their favorite gear.
Both the Z521C Comanche and 118C are new models added to the 2014 Ranger lineup. Measuring 21 feet, 7 inches and rated for 250 horsepower, the Ranger Z521C is available with a wide range of precision-matched, factory-rigged outboards and a wealth of customizable options that allow anglers to match their dream rig to their own styles and preferences. The performance-priced Ranger Z118C includes a host of best-in-class features and a custom matched trailer along with several new refinements not seen in previous Z100 Series designs.
“It’s always nice to receive positive feedback from the media, but to be recognized by anglers and customers across the country is really special” said Ranger Boats Vice President of Marketing Bart Schad. “We strive to build a product that people aspire to own and work hard to over-deliver when it comes to product quality and customer satisfaction.”
