Rec Boat Holdings gears up for Miami

CADILLAC, Mich. – Rec Boat Holdings (RBH) is slated to introduce several new models for their brands at the Miami International Boat Show, February 12-16, 2015. The company continues to attract new consumers to boating as well as new dealers to their growing network by introducing new and exciting models. The RBH brands include Four Winns, Glastron, Wellcraft, and Scarab jet boats.

“Our boat show results are currently 30% ahead of last year, which is very encouraging,” stated Rec Boat Holdings’ President, Roch Lambert. “The continuation of new product development and aggressive retail incentives have provided increased awareness for all our brands during this critical selling period,” he concluded.

After launching the new Four Winns Horizon 440 bow cruiser and the Horizon 350 at the Ft. Lauderdale International Boat Show, interest in these new and innovative open bow boats has grown around the world. The Horizon 440, the only bow cruiser on the market today, has generated tremendous interest with a recent sale at the Toronto Boat Show for use in a global television show. The Horizon 350 is proving very popular among boating families looking for the perfect day cruiser with a very innovative layout that also offers overnight amenities. And finally, in collaboration with Volvo Penta, Four Winns will launch the TS222, a 22-foot tow boat model with plenty of tow sports features at a very affordable price point. This boat will attract the water sports enthusiasts with a more family friendly, roomy boat powered by a revolutionary new propulsion system from Volvo Penta.

The Scarab jet boat line continues to grow with the recent introduction of the Scarab 255. Retail sales on the new 255 have already exceeded company projections. A stand-out in the industry, this 25-foot sport runabout boasts more room and power than any other jet boat available today. The Rotax- powered Scarab jet boat line-up now ranges from 16-feet to 25-feet, the broadest range in the category.

The Wellcraft display will feature the all new G2 Evinrude E-TEC outboard on the world renowned Scarab 35 Offshore fishing machine. A full line-up of boats will be on display, attracting not only fishing enthusiasts but customers looking for a great family boat with a legendary name.

Glastron will highlight the new jet models, featuring the GTS 207, Rotax-powered model which has taken off during this show season as a very viable option in jet power. Glastron continues to offer consumers a choice of power in the runabout segment – outboard, stern drive or jet power; which will all be represented at the Miami show.

Lambert concluded, “The growth of our brands continues and we’re excited to showcase all our boats in Miami this year. We’ve set our goals for the show very high and feel confident, with our premiere dealers in the market, these goals are very achievable this year.”
